Mr. Avery Jacob is a highly experienced Emergency Medical Services (EMS) professional with over 24 years of expertise in pre-hospital care and medical health services across both land-based and offshore environments. His career began as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) in EMS Tobago and progressed through key roles including Clinical Auditor, Supervisor, and Medical Advance Post Manager for the Tobago Emergency Management Agency.<\/p>\n

Mr. Jacob holds the distinction of being the first person in Tobago to achieve the Advanced Emergency Medical Technician (AEMT) certification from the U.S. National Registry of EMTs (NREMT). He later completed the Paramedic Advanced Diploma at the Emergency Training Institute of Trinidad and Tobago (ETITT), where he now serves as a Lead EMS Educator.<\/p>\n

At ETITT, Mr. Jacob oversees and teaches on most of the EMS tertiary educational programs and coordinates continuing education programs at both the basic and advanced levels. As a subject matter expert, he is an approved instructor with the ETITT for the American Heart Association (AHA), and the National Association of Emergency Medical Technicians (NAEMT) courses.<\/p>\n

In 2007, Mr.Jacob initially completed his EMS Instructor course with Creighton University & in 2017 he earned the designation of Critical Care Flight Paramedic through Creighton University. He also completed specialized training in Essentials of Clinical Simulation Across the Health Professions and is currently in the final stages of earning his Bachelor of Science in Emergency Health Services Management from Columbia Southern University.<\/p>\n

Mr. Samuel Jemmott is a Registered Mental Health Nurse and a dedicated EMS Educator at the Emergency Training Institute of Trinidad and Tobago (ETITT), where he has served for over eight years. He plays a pivotal role in delivering both tertiary EMS education and continuing professional development programs, instructing at basic and advanced levels.<\/p>\n

He holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing Education from The University of the West Indies and a Postgraduate Diploma in Instructional Design and Technology from the UWI Open Campus. Mr. Jemmott also completed his Advanced Emergency Medical Technician (AEMT) training at ETITT and earned his EMS Instructor Certification through Creighton University EMS Education.<\/p>\n

    Dr. Khadeisha Pierre serves as the Clinical Manager at the Emergency Training Institute of Trinidad and Tobago (ETITT) and is a licensed medical doctor practicing in the Accident and Emergency Department at Sangre Grande Hospital. She holds a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (M.B.B.S) degree and brings a strong foundation in pre-hospital emergency care to both her clinical and academic roles.<\/p>\n

    At ETITT, Dr. Pierre oversees the academic and operational functions of the EMT, Paramedic, and Continuing Professional Development programs. Her responsibilities include curriculum design, clinical training supervision, and ensuring that educational practices remain aligned with current advancements in pre-hospital emergency care.<\/p>\n

    In addition to managing the institute’s daily educational operations, Dr. Pierre plays a key role in the strategic development of ETITT. She contributes to initiatives that strengthen academic partnerships, enhance program quality, and elevate the institution\u2019s standing as a leading center for emergency medical services education in the region.<\/p>\n
