Disclaimer

  • Certification valid for two years after which a forty hours refresher is required
  • Graduates of our EMT programme are eligible to challenge the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT) USA Computer-Based Test (CBT), administered in Trinidad.

Course Information

  • Duration: 7 months (400hrs)
  • Schedule: 2 days/week (8:30am - 4:30pm)
  • ACTT Approved
  • GATE Apporved (Tuition Only)
Entry Requirements

Direct Entry

  • Four (4) CSEC/CXC passes (Grades I–III, General Proficiency or equivalent)

Mature Entry

  • Three (3) CSEC/CXC passes (Grades I–III) and successful completion of an Admissions Test (TT$510)

 

Additional Requirements: Applicants must:

  • Be 18 years or older
  • Be a citizen of Trinidad & Tobago (for GATE eligibility)
  • CARICOM national
  • Have good oral and written communication skills
  • Provide two (2) passport-sized photos
  • Submit a valid Police Certificate of Character
  • Provide documentation of MMR, Hepatitis B, Tetanus immunization and TB screening
  • Be physically capable of lifting and moving patients
  • Be free from substance dependence (except for medically supervised treatments)
