PROFILES
Karla Reid-Pierre: Karla is the Chief Executive Officer of the ETITT. Her responsibilities involves providing strategic direction and educational oversight for ETITT. She has over fifteen years experience in EMS as a critical care paramedic and Respiratory Therapist and obtained her MBA at Saint Mary’s University in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada.
Her experience includes implementing and managing the Atlantic Health Training and Simulation Centre and assisting in the design and implementation of EHS Lifeflight. She was employed as a flight paramedic at EHS Lifeflight before becoming the Chief Operations Officer for Emergency Health Services in Trinidad and Tobago until October 2004. Karla is a certified Instructor in AMLS and ACLS programmes.
Curt Pierre: Curt is the Managing Director with ETITT. His responsibilities involves developing and maintaining new relationships for training programmes and networking locally, regionally and internationally. He has over fifteen years experience in Emergency Medical Services. He was a firefighter with Trinidad and Tobago Fire Services for over eight years where he was very active in instructing and obtained his certificate in Emergency Medical Care through NIHERST College and then pursued his EMT training in New York after leaving the Fire Service.
Mr.Pierre worked as an EMT in the petrochemical industry for over five years before becoming a Supervisor, then Operations Manager with Emergency Health Services in Trinidad and Tobago.
He is presently pursuing his BSc and is also a member of the NAEMT & NAEMSE, USA.
Dr.Jennifer Delamore: Dr.Delamore is the Course Medical Director of ETITT. Her responsibilities include providing medical policies direction, review, research and development to meet or exceed international standards. She is an energetic Neonatal Intensive Care Unit Consultant with over 10 years experience, a member of the Royal College of Physcians and has Diplomas in Child Health and Human Resource Management.
She was the winner of the University of the West Indies Medal for Community Health and has also won a North West Regional Health Authority Quality Star Award for her exemplary commitment to Total Quality Management. She is an avid teacher and is a provider/ instructor in Neonatal Advanced Life Support, Advanced Paediatric Life Support, Advanced Medical Life Support and has also completed EMS Educator/Instructor training in Chicago.
Dr.Delamore was also a volunteer for VISAR- Virgin Island Search and Rescue, a volunteer organization providing EMS in the British Virgin Islands and is presently preparing for EMS Medical Director training.
