ADVANCED MEDICAL LIFE SUPPORT
Our first AMLS course was held at the Ambassador Hotel during the month of May 2005. AMLS Chairperson (NAEMT) Ms.Linda Abrahamson and Mr.Gregg Clarkes Affiliate member, audited the local Instructors. ETITT management was presented with an award and Mrs.Karla Reid-Pierre certified as an affiliate faculty member for the AMLS course in Trinidad & Tobago.
All participants were successful with their examinations including three individuals at the Instructor level. Trinidad & Tobago is the first Caribbean country to host this course and achieve such status. Thanks to the NAEMT, Mr.Gregg Clarkes and Ms.Linda Abrahamson.

ASSESSMENT & TREATMENT OF TRAUMA
The Basic ATT course is geared toward the Emergency Medical Responder (First Responder) and Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), while the Advanced ATT Course is geared toward the Advanced Emergency Medical Technician (EMT- Intermediate), Paramedic, and other advanced life support providers.
The basic course is designed to cover basic trauma life support concepts from the basic life support provider's level of training (anatomy and physiology and the pathophysiology of injury), while the advanced course builds upon the basic trauma life support concepts and provides a more in-depth look into trauma and advanced management.
The Precourse Online Module allows participants to review essential information related to each type of injury from the comfort of their homes or offices.
The On-Site portion of the course offers participants to actively participate in scenario-based, small-group discussions and witness live-action videos. This keeps providers involved and pushes them to think critically about how to approach traumatically injured patients.
